Is KFC chicken Halal?

Our food is made to strict food and safety procedures however we do not have Halal certifications at any of our stores. 

Our chicken producers are Tegel Foods and Ingham's.

Chicken products provided to KFC stores supplied by Tegel Foods are approved by Halal Conformity Services and the Ministry for Primary Industries Halal Notice.

Chicken products provided to KFC stores supplied by Ingham's are approved by FIANZ Halal.

We currently offer chicken rashers from Tegel as a substitute for pork bacon in the following stores;

Please be aware if ordering delivery online via your KFC app or www.kfc.co.nz, or through a 3^rd party aggregator delivery service like UberEats, Door Dash or DeliverEasy, we cannot guarantee the store that this order will be fulfilled from.

We would recommend to ensure you are receiving your order from one of the stores listed above that you use the KFC Pick Up service via your KFC app or www.kfc.co.nz and select your desired store. Please note KFC delivery zones are determined by your delivery address and you will not be able to select your preferred delivery store.
